Description: Black Bear Step Stool

Dimensions: 15″ wide x 14″ tall

Wood:
one 1X8 x 48″ long board (select #1 grade oak hardwood knot free). If you don’t mind the look of knots in your project use a lower cost #2 grade of lumber
24″ x 24″ x 3/4″ thick piece of plywood (good two sides, MDO or MDF board)

Hardware: required for assembly
screws-twelve #6 x 1 1/4″ long, flat head

Tools:
hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping, scrolling blade, table saw or circular saw
screwdriver
electric drill
5/64″, 5/32″ and 1/4″ dia. and countersink drill bits
router with 3/8″ round over bit
wood files or a bench top belt sander with medium grit belt for rounding step edges

Supplies:
transfer paper, pencil & clear tape
sandpaper-medium & fine grits
wood filler-non shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws
paint brush-3/4″ and 1/4″ wide brushes
wood glue-exterior or interior

2505-white 2020-Red Iron Oxide
2057-Quaker Grey
2506-Black

Sealer: use our low luster, satin finish, project sealer
to protect the paint (#POLYQT)
use a good quality non yellowing polyurethane on pieces left natural
